TallyPrime support for Pakistan and India

TallyPrime often sits at the centre of a desktop accounting workflow, while bills and receipts arrive through email, WhatsApp, staff and shared folders.

This guide explains how a controlled capture and review process can fit around that setup, and how to request guided access from Sumext.

Why the connection model is different

TallyPrime is desktop software and does not use the same cloud connection model as Xero, QuickBooks Online or Zoho Books. A responsible workflow therefore needs a controlled bridge between the authorised Windows installation and the review process.

That setup needs to be checked with each team rather than presented as a universal one-click connection.

How the guided Sumext workflow is designed

Sumext has built a bridge workflow that runs alongside TallyPrime on an authorised Windows PC. Bills can be captured and reviewed in Sumext before an approved purchase voucher is prepared for the connected company.

TallyPrime support is available by request rather than as a self-serve integration. Sumext confirms the fit and setup before opening access, and nothing posts without human approval.

What changes for Pakistan and India specifically

In both markets, receipts and invoices often arrive on WhatsApp before they arrive anywhere else — from a supplier, a site manager, or a subcontractor. Sumext's WhatsApp capture lands those directly in a review queue, extracted and ready, instead of sitting in a chat thread until someone remembers to key them in.

Vendor tax IDs — GST numbers in both countries — are validated before a bill reaches your books, catching typos and mismatches before they become a reconciliation problem later.

What this is not

This is bill capture and posting, not GST e-invoice generation or receipt. If your business needs structured e-invoicing compliance, that's a separate requirement from what Sumext handles today — worth checking with your tax advisor rather than assuming either way.
